YouTube GO- Why you might use this app?

YouTube Go, It's launching in more than 130 countries. Google has built an another version of YouTube app which is data friendly, and the app is also built for offline viewing in countries where data connectivity can be an issue.


YouTube Go is a redesigned version of the regular YouTube app (available only on Android) that’s designed for places with poor connectivity or expensive cellular data prices. The app allows users to download any video available on YouTube for offline viewing which users can then share locally with friends over a direct device-to-device connection without using up more data.


The app was first launched in India, and since then it has been launched it in more than 13 countries. Do take a note that this app is still in Beta even in India.
YouTube Go also comes with new features like download and stream videos in high quality and the ability to share multiple videos at once to another device.


The focus is still on countries which have problems in network and expensive data packs. There are no plans for the app to release in the country with more developed networks.
